One of most innovative new car accessories hitting retail in 2016 is the new ‘Active Key' available for the Jaguar F-type SUV. The wearable device takes the form of a weatherproof rubber wristband resembling the popular ‘Fit Bit' accessory, and it adds new security options to your Jag. The wristband allows you to enter and exit your vehicle without the key, and also disables the key when the wristband isn’t present. Now you can lock your car key inside your vehicle, and if someone breaks in, the key is rendered useless.
To use the new device, hold the wristband near the 'J' on the car's Jaguar badge, and the F-Type’s doors will lock. Repeat this process to unlock the doors and re-activate the key. The Active Wristband is currently exclusive to the new F-Pace SUV. If the device proves to be popular, drivers can expect to see it available on other Jaguar models in the future.
